AGE DEFYING

As you age, you will notice changes to your skin such as more wrinkles, age spots, ruddiness, thinness and dryness. But, creating a healthy skin care regime will improve the look and the quality of your skin for the years to come.

Protect your skin from the sun: The sun’s rays make our skin age more quickly. Try these tips: seek shade, cover up, wear fun floppy hats, and use sunscreen. Staying out of the sun also means, no indoor tanning.

Apply a deep-penetrating, moisturizer every day: As we age, skin becomes drier. A good moisturizer replenishes and traps water in your skin, giving you a more youthful appearance.

Wash away dirt and grime before bed: You want to wash with warm water and a mild soap to remove the majority of the dirt and grime, followed by a deep-pore cleanser to clean deep down into areas that soap and water just can't get.

Eat healthy foods: A healthy diet promotes healthy skin. Make sure you eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats.

Get enough sleep: It’s called beauty rest for a reason. Sleep gives your body time to refresh and renew itself.

Drink plenty of water: Drinking water helps to rehydrate skin cells.
